Italian machine manufacturer POLIVINIL ROTOMACHINERY S.p.A., has converted another rotomoulding machine to 493K's K-Kontrol temperature control system. Polivinil Rotomachinery S.p.A. is helping an expanding network of rotomoulders maximise time and production benefits with the help of K-Kontrol.
493K's four week manufacturing capability ensured Mr Sacchi, Managing Director of Polivinil Rotomachinery S.p.A., took delivery of the 493K equipment at the same time as delivery of their machine to a key client.
493K's Managing Director, Gareth McDowell, said he was delighted with Polivinil's excellent collaboration: "It was a pleasure to work with such a professional team. Their organisation, and careful preparation prior to our arrival, facilitated a complete installation which took less than 24 hours total.
Since our first commercial installation in 2004, 493K has been continuing to improve installation times and provide a more efficient service with less machine downtime. This project with Polivinil proved our capacity to deliver on time and with an installation process which is sensitive to the needs of our customers."
Polivinil's Production Manager Mr Gianni Zattin, was able to schedule the machine build for a pre-delivery inspection by the customer at Polivinil's site in Northern Italy." He added: "Prospective customers will be pleased to learn that once the customer inspects the fully working Polivinil machine, which typically takes 2 hours, the machine is dismantled, painted and shipped to its final destination within 10 days."
Mr. Daniele Zorzan of Polivinil Rotomachinery S.p.A. commented "Our customers tell us that when all other production processes are equal, time is the bottleneck that they need to open. Essentially the question is 'How many mouldings can we make in one day?'. Because company revenue is based more often on quantity of sales, and less on extreme quality of parts, the emphasis for increased revenue is on time, provided of course that basic quality is present. With K-Kontrol, rotomoulders can get machines one step closer to complete automation, maintaining optimum production times and producing maximum quantities of parts in as little time as possible.
K-Kontrol can either be used as a quality tool to gain optimum part properties where the mould temperatures are carefully controlled and recorded or it can be used to simply determine the key points in the process allowing the moulder to end heating, begin cooling and then demould as soon as possible. It is not every moulder's objective to manufacture the 'best part'; for non-critical products where material strength or final part warpage is not important to the customer then all that is of interest are the points that dictate the minimum cure and cooling times the moulder can get away with. K-Kontrol will give you the information needed about your process to find these points. Contact us below for further information.
